What are you doing this Saturday or Sunday morning? How about your grocery shopping? At the farmers market hosted by the Foodshed Alliance! A few weekends ago kicked off the start of farmers market season in Salida and Buena Vista, and let me tell you, it is hopping. Live music, produce, arts, baked goods, lunch, beverages, and more – the farmer’s market has it all!
If you’re feeling curious about who will be there this summer, I’m here to tell you. So read on (or see the vendors for yourself by hitting the market this weekend!)
Produce –
What would a farmers market be without fresh, locally grown produce? There’s something so special about eating farmer’s market produce. It’s as if you can taste the love, dedication and hard work that our neighboring farmers put into every single leaf of lettuce, cherry tomato, and stalk of rhubarb. I have not been able to get enough of the juicy, sweet peaches, summer’s first bursting tomatoes, and the array of crisp, fresh greens. Here are the vendors who will be selling produce at either the Salida and/or BV markets this summer.
